Investing: should I buy barrels (shares) of oil?
Is it wise to shell out in oil? Should I buy oil companies or buy the oil itself? I am not communication about aye buying 55 gallon drums of the gorge and storing them in my earth closet. I am contracting "shares" of oil.
Crude oil is a commodity and yes, you can invest in it. Call a good commodities brokers intermediate and he/she can give a access to it.
I'd say purchasing oil itself would not be a wise move. The cost of storing it at in an acceptable environment would almost double the cost and kill your residual
Purchasing oil would be smart, but a wiser move might be to purchase the currency of oil producing countries. Some have close to 80% of their GDP coming from the sales of oil globally
